Incident of Pride Flag Arson Caught on Camera
An East Bay couple, Daniel Montgomery and his husband Nick Garcia, were shocked to see their Pride flag set on fire outside their home in San Leandro.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, with the couple noticing the flag had been burnt and was in tatters. Montgomery recalled,
Standing right here preparing some food and I looked up and was like, whoa, upon seeing the damaged flag from his kitchen window.
Upon reviewing their home security camera footage, they saw a man approach the flag, which was hung over their garage door, around 6:30 in the morning and set it on fire.
The couple had hung the Pride flag outside their home for the first time.
