CT 1st District Race: Bronin Leads in Fundraising
Luke Bronin has taken an early lead in fundraising among Democrats in the Connecticut 1st Congressional District race, ahead of U.S. Representative John Larson.
Bronin raised nearly $1.2 million since announcing his candidacy in late July, compared to Larson's $809,000 over the past three months. However, Larson has raised nearly $1.1 million this year.
The fundraising reports provide insight into each campaign's funding, including the sources of their money and their financial resources for the nomination fight in the safely Democratic district.
Some candidates are using new strategies in a race becoming increasingly skeptical of traditional ways of amassing donations.
