Drink Driver Banned from Roads
A 45-year-old man, David Gray, has been banned from driving after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.
Gray, from a rural property near Banff, admitted to driving with 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the limit of 22mcg in 100ml.
- Incident occurred on August 29 at Buchan Street, Macduff
- Gray was driving a Toyota RAV 4 at around 1:45am
- Police officers stopped the vehicle due to suspicious driving manner
- A roadside breath test was positive, with a strong smell of alcohol detected
The court heard that Gray had been out with a friend before deciding to drive.
Fiscal deputy Kirsty Martin presented the case at Banff Sheriff Court.
