Sunday Trading: Better Abolished Than Relaxed

Recently, the Government proposed increasing Sunday trading hours, allegedly to appease large businesses facing a tax hike.

However, due to public outcry, the Government has backed down, indicating it was merely "flying a kite" to gauge opinions.

The current rule remains: large retailers and supermarkets can open for no more than six consecutive hours on Sundays.

As Christians, we support the concept of a day of rest and oppose compulsory Sunday work.
