OpenAI to Allow Erotica for Verified Adults on ChatGPT
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced plans to permit erotic content for verified adults using ChatGPT, sparking a backlash.
The CEO stated:
We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to ensure we were being careful with mental health issues.
This decision aims to relax mental health-focused restrictions within the AI chatbot, accompanied by more robust age-gating methods to protect minors.
The changes are expected to take place starting December 2025.
