Lewiston School District Hub Expands Support
This week’s community hero spotlights three social workers making a difference for those who need it most.
Social workers Cynthia Nunez, Michelle Mendenhall, and Jennifer Wallace share a common goal: connecting families with resources they need, including food, clothing, toiletries, and more.
"The program has kind of evolved over the years and expanded compared to where we started 27 years ago; there has been a lot of growth,"
Nunez said. The organization initially covered only elementary schools, but it went district-wide four years ago.
"It makes our jobs a little bit easier having everything in a central location,"
Wallace said. The Lewiston School District Hub provides a lifeline for families in need.
