Police Raid Colonie Hotel in Search for McDonald's Robbery Suspect
Colonie Police and Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies raided the Econo Lodge Inn Suites in Colonie on Saturday night as part of the search for Joseph Hess.
Joseph Hess, a 32-year-old man from Frankfurt, NY, is accused of robbing a 76-year-old woman at the McDonald's parking lot in Ballston on Thursday.
- Hess allegedly stole the woman's pocketbook and ran over her with his car.
- The woman was transported to the hospital with compound leg fractures.
SWAT was heard over the loudspeaker calling out Hess's name and telling him to come out with his hands up.
Police at the Econo Lodge Saturday night appeared to break the window in search for Hess.
