Prep Football Flashback: Beechwood Victory

Logan Castleman rushed for 170 yards, scored three touchdowns and recovered two fumbles in his team's 33-21 win over Newport Central Catholic.

Beechwood quarterback Cameron Hergott passed for 131 yards and two touchdowns, while the Tigers' defensive unit had four takeaways in the victory.

This win was the final regular season game for both teams, with Beechwood going on to win a third consecutive Class 1A state championship under head coach Noel Rash.

Castleman was one of the state's leading hitters in baseball with a .620 average that spring when Beechwood made it to the state semifinals and finished with a 38-2 record.
