Darren Bailey Pauses Campaign After Tragic Loss
Darren Bailey, the Republican running for Governor of Illinois, has suspended his campaign due to a tragic loss. His son, Zachery Bailey, daughter-in-law Kelsey, and their two children were killed in a helicopter crash near Ekalaka, Montana.
The family was on their way to a farming convention when the 4-seat Robinson R66 helicopter crashed. Darren Bailey's other grandson was not on the helicopter and is safe.
Aaron Del Mar, Darren Bailey's running mate, stated that the campaign has transitioned into the "Bailey Support Team" to help the family through this difficult time.
Zachery Bailey had run the family's Illinois farm, which had been in operation for 4 generations.
