Holberg Road Closed Due to Mudslide
A mudslide has occurred on Holberg Road outside of Holberg, resulting in its closure. According to Dane Cameron, Regional District of Mount Waddington's emergency program coordinator,
"The slide occurred on Northeast 60 Road at approximately the 14k mark,"which is a Western Forests Products section of road.
BC Hydro reports that 47 customers are without power due to the slide. The affected areas include:
- End of Dombie Hill Road
- Victoria Road
- 200 block of Victoria Avenue
- Dombi Hill Road
- Sawmill
- Cookhouse
- Croft Street
- Seymour Avenue
- Radar Site Holberg
- Moores Lot 72
- William Moores Res
- 0 block of Bunkhouse Way
Power has been off since 5:52 p.m. on Oct.
