Tanko Rashid-Computer, Deputy National Elections Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), earned his nickname due to his exceptional academic talent.
A mathematics teacher impressed by his calculative speed and conceptual clarity gave him the name, which has become ubiquitous in Ghana.

Tanko explained that the incident occurred during a mathematics lesson where he assisted the teacher, who had a difficult accent, as a personal teaching assistant.
