Loch Ness Monster Sighting in 2025
A Moray resident, Peter Hoyle, has reported a possible sighting of the Loch Ness Monster, marking the fourth official sighting of 2025.
According to the Official Loch Ness Sightings Register, Mr Hoyle saw a "dark shape sticking out of water, moving from right side of loch to left from the middle" on October 15.
He said it disappeared before reaching shore and was moving fairly quickly but not speed boat speed.
The sighting lasted for 20-30 seconds at 1:30pm. This incident surpasses the three in-person sightings recorded in 2024, but remains below the 11 noted in 2023.
