Operation Food Search Urges St. Louisans to Host Food Drives

The Trump administration confirmed that SNAP benefits will not be distributed on November 1 due to the ongoing government shutdown, affecting an estimated 650,000 Missouri residents.

One in 10 Missourians rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to help pay for groceries. Operation Food Search, a St. Louis-based nonprofit, has launched an "urgent food drive" to stock up before the expected surge in demand.

Due to the ongoing government shutdown, SNAP benefits will not go out November 1.

Operation Food Search is hosting the food drive at City Foundry (3730 Foundry) and urges St. Louisans to participate.
