Argentina's Economic Reforms After Midterm Elections
Argentine President Javier Milei's party, Liberty Advances, won 41% of the vote nationwide in the midterm elections on October 26.
Milei's party increased its seats in both houses of Congress, growing from 37 to 92 seats in the lower house and from six to 21 in the upper house.
With expanded benches, Milei has increased his leverage to pass his reform agenda, which includes labor and tax reforms as well as a fresh budget.
He needed a win and he got it.
Milei's party outperformed expectations, and the win is expected to give him the momentum he needs to push through his economic reforms.
