Shuttered RiNo beer brand to be revived in the mountains

Revival of 14er Brewing in the Mountains

A shuttered RiNo beer brand, 14er Brewing, is set to be revived in Poncha Springs under new ownership.

“It’s a great brand for Chaffee County,”
said Derek Heersink, the buyer and founder of Alamosa’s Spare Keg Brewerks.

The brand, which operated at 3120 Blake St. in Denver from 2018 through last November, will return as an outpost in Poncha Springs.

Heersink bought the company’s naming rights and recipes from 14er co-founders Andrew Kaczmarek and Nate Francescato earlier this year, citing the brand's potential in Chaffee County, where there are more 14ers than anywhere in the country.
