Bruce County Museum Marks Remembrance Day
Historian and author Ted Barris will help mark Remembrance Day at Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre on November 8.
The event will celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, where Canadian airmen made significant contributions during the Second World War.
Ted Barris will explore the bravery of Canadian flyers who helped defend England during 113 harrowing days in 1940.
- 47 squadrons had Canadian servicemen
- 20 pilots were lost in action
- 12 received the Distinguished Flying Cross for their courage
