On October 25, director and producer Tamara Stepanyan led a masterclass at the Armenian Film Society (AFS), sharing her creative journey and filmmaking process using her film "My Armenian Phantoms" as a case study.
Stepanyan, born in Yerevan and raised in Lebanon, studied film, television, and communication arts at the American University of Beirut. She began making documentaries in 2010, including "The Ganants Gyughe" (Village of Women) in 2019.
Her feature documentary "My Armenian Phantoms" premiered at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, featuring a poetic dialogue among herself, her actor-father, and Soviet Armenian cinema.
