The Lewin-LaFrance sisters, Antonia and Georgia, have become the first-ever Canadian medalists at the 2025 World Championships in 49erFX, taking bronze.
Native to Chester, Nova Scotia, the sisters made history for Canada with their first medal in the specific event and the nation's first world championship podium in over two decades.
Other top finishers included Spain's Paula Barceló and María Cantero, who clinched their maiden 49erFX World Championship, and Sweden's Vilma Bobeck and Ebba Berntsson, who took silver. Britain's Freya Black and Saskia Tidey rounded out the top four.
