"I have owned it, actually, for 20 years, but I've grew up in the business since Gus is my grandfather,"
Phillips said, having worked in the restaurant since childhood. Her grandfather opened the original Gus's Catalina in the 1960s, later consolidating to its current location at 6027 E. 22nd St. in 1965.
