Mold Concerns in Maya and Olmeca Dorms
Despite repeated reports of mold from residents, the San Diego State University (SDSU) Office of Housing Administration (OHA) denies a widespread issue.
Following mold concerns, the OHA released a "Preventative Maintenance Plan" via email to residents of the Maya and Olmeca dorms.
The plan includes room visits, cleaning and servicing of HVAC vents, inspecting potential signs of water intrusion, addressing areas where moisture may accumulate, and providing residents with personalized reminders about cleanliness.
The OHA addressed mold growing in the Maya and Olmeca dorms through this plan.
