Local Startup Kinis Develops New Fall Prevention Tech
Richmond-based startup Kinis.ai is piloting a new product, BalancePro Exam, aimed at helping people stay on their feet.
Initially launched as a minimalist shoe company in 2018, Kinis.ai has shifted its focus to developing a tech application that uses an iPad camera and AI model to determine a person's risk of falls.
Kinis.ai was originally founded as Kinis Barefoot by CEO Vincent Vu, who was inspired by a foot injury from running to create a sock-like shoe product.
