Mike Santana Wins World Title at TNA Bound for Glory
Mike Santana is now a champion after defeating Trick Williams for the TNA World title at Sunday's TNA Bound for Glory in the main event from Lowell, Massachusetts.
Santana won the match after Williams charged in for a Trick Shot, but Santana dodged, blocked another uranage, hit a flying lariat, and then hit his discus lariat to get the pin.
As TNA head Carlos Silva was about to present Santana with his title, Nic Nemeth considered cashing in his Call Your Shot gauntlet title shot. However, the lights went out and Elias returned from injury to take out Nemeth.
Co-winner Frankie Kazarian also attempted to cash in, but was unable to do so since he didn't have the trophy.
Mike Santana can now call himself a singles champion in a major promotion.
