Improvements to Sault Transit
Changes are coming to Sault Transit in 2026, aiming to improve stop frequency and reliability while maintaining existing costs.
The new system, known as "Sault Loops", received 72% public support and 61% operator preference during public engagement sessions.
- Increase the frequency of bus stop pick-ups
- Create four two-directional routes to shorten travel time and avoid downtown connections
- Replace On-Demand weekend evening service with hourly fixed route service
