Man Charged with Open Murder
Jonathan Zieroff, 30, is facing a charge of open murder after his girlfriend, Kelley LaLonde, died from injuries he allegedly inflicted on her in his Michigan home.
Zieroff had been previously charged with one count of felony assault with intent to murder for the attack on LaLonde, which left her with over 50 individual wounds and bleeding from her brain.
LaLonde spent months on life support before passing away, and new details in the case were revealed during Zieroff's preliminary hearing.
Zieroff allegedly abused and tortured LaLonde for weeks, resulting in her death.
Zieroff may face life in prison if convicted of the charges.
