Defense Attorney Objects to Delay in Amber Spradlin Trial
The attorney for Michael McKinney, accused of killing Amber Spradlin, has objected to a delay in the upcoming trial.
Amber Spradlin's body was found on June 18, 2023, at McKinney's Arkansas Creek home. McKinney is charged with her murder, and he and family friend Josh Mullins face charges for allegedly covering up the crime.
Commonwealth's Attorney Brent Turner requested a postponement of the December 1 trial, citing the need for more time to finish DNA testing at the state crime lab.
Prosecutors have called their case strong enough to justify a $5 million bond, and it's now time to let a jury decide.
