Remembrance Day Parade Returns with Free Transit for Veterans

On November 11th, residents of Fort St. John will gather downtown to honor fallen Canadian soldiers and recognize the contributions of veterans and active service members during the city’s annual Remembrance Day parade and ceremony.

Parade and Ceremony Details

The event, organized by the Royal Canadian Legion’s local branch, will begin at 10:40 a.m. outside the School District 60 office on 102nd Street. The parade will proceed along 105th Avenue, pass the legion building, reach City Hall, and then return to the cenotaph for the outdoor ceremony.

After the ceremony, attendees will be invited inside the legion for a day of activities.

All activities are free to attend, and no pre-registration is required.

Traffic and Road Closures

According to a city press release, road closures will be in place along the parade route and near the legion building from 9:30 a.m. to noon on November 11th, with no vehicle access permitted during that time.
