Presiding Bishop Gérald Caussé was announced on Thursday as the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
At 62 years old, Elder Caussé has served as the church's presiding bishop for the past 11 years. He was called to the apostleship and ordained on the same day by President Dallin H. Oaks along with the First Presidency and members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
