Adelaide Metro will provide free travel on all buses, trains, and trams on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 6 am to 2 pm to support families attending the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.
Additional buses and trains will operate throughout the morning to manage the large crowds expected. Substitute buses will also run along the Glenelg tram corridor due to ongoing upgrade works.
The Christmas Pageant is the largest public street parade in the southern hemisphere, attracting over 300,000 attendees in the previous year, making it one of South Australia's most cherished annual events.
“Adelaide Metro is so pleased to provide free public transport to help children and families get to the city for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant,” says spokesperson Michelle Spagnoletti.
“We’ll have additional services running on the day, so hop on board and leave the car at home.”
To ensure public safety, several road closures and temporary changes to bus stops will be implemented across the CBD.
Adelaide Metro facilitates family attendance to the Christmas Pageant by offering free, expanded public transport services with safety measures in place.
