Lorenzo Musetti reached the semifinals of the ATP 250 tournament in Athens after defeating Alexandre Muller 6-2, 6-4 in 1 hour and 21 minutes. The Italian player struck nine aces and won 78% of his first-serve points.
In the opening set, the world number nine converted his second break point in the first game after Muller’s backhand mistake. Musetti then achieved a double break in the third game to lead 3-0 and later secured another break in the seventh game with a precise backhand passing shot. He closed out the set with a love hold.
Starting the second set strongly, Musetti gained an immediate break with a decisive backhand down the line. Muller managed to save a break point in the third game with a well-timed smash. Both players held serve until the ninth game, where Musetti missed two match points. However, the Olympic bronze medallist sealed victory on his third match point in the 10th game.

Musetti will now face American player Sebastian Korda, who defeated Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 6-2. Korda broke early in the second game and held serve to lead 3-0. He took the first set on his initial set point in the ninth game, then broke twice in the second set to secure the win on his first match point.
