WI members keep poppy tribute alive in Trysull

WI Members Maintain Poppy Tribute in Trysull

Members of Trysull and Seisdon Women's Institute have once again arranged poppies on the war memorial at Trysull church. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the groups have created the Remembrance Day poppy display at the memorial.

Our members dedicated many hours knitting thousands of poppies as a heartfelt tribute to those who lost their lives during the war. The display also featured some purple poppies to honor the animals that served and died alongside the soldiers.

After washing and drying the poppies, several members carefully tied them onto fresh netting, which was then secured to the memorial at Trysull.

While working on the display, several passers-by stopped to comment on how beautiful the tribute looked.

A fitting tribute to all those who gave their lives.

Author's summary: The Trysull and Seisdon WI uphold tradition by creating a detailed, heartfelt poppy display honoring fallen soldiers and service animals at the Trysull war memorial.
