Remembrance Day Poppy Craft at Haringey Libraries
Young children and their families can participate in Remembrance Day activities on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, at various Haringey libraries. Poppy craft sessions will be held at:
- Hornsey Library (3:30pm–4:30pm)
- Marcus Garvey Library (3:30pm–4:30pm)
- Muswell Hill Library (3:45pm–4:45pm)
This activity is designed for children aged three and above. Once finished, participants can pin their poppies on the Remembrance Day boards at either Hornsey or Marcus Garvey Library.
Poppy Field Craft
On Monday, 17 November 2025, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, children aged five and older can create a field of poppies at Stroud Green and Harringay Library.

The artist known for Beano and Marvel will lead two sessions at Wood Green Library on Saturday, 22 November 2025:
10:30am–12:30pm and 2pm–4pm.
Participants will create a comic and a caricature in just two hours. -
Chess Sessions at Haringey Libraries
Chess enthusiasts of all levels can join at:- Hornsey Library (Thursdays, 3:30pm–6pm, bring your own board)
- Marcus Garvey Library (Tuesdays, 3:30pm–5pm, boards on request, under 16s must be accompanied)
- St Ann’s Library (Mondays, 4pm–5pm, term time, max 12 children, ages 7-16)
