They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
This Remembrance Sunday (9 November), services and parades across Angus will honor all who gave their lives defending our freedoms. Wreaths will be laid as a tribute to their sacrifice.
“Please, if you have not already planned to do so and are able, I encourage you to take a small amount of time to join your community at one of these important events and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
If you can’t attend, I ask you to take a moment during the day to quietly reflect—alone or with friends and family—and remember the fallen.”
Tuesday, 11 November, marks Armistice Day, offering another chance to show respect. At 11 a.m., whether at home or work, pause your activities to observe two minutes of silence in honor of the bravery and selflessness of our Armed Services.
“We must and will remember them.”
Our thanks also go to those service men and women currently protecting the country both at home and abroad. As they safeguard us, we will stand by them.
“These past years have witnessed increasingly uncertain times, with the cruelty of war relayed to us across a diversity of media.”
Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day serve as powerful reminders to honor the sacrifices of fallen heroes and support those currently serving in challenging times.
