Remembrance Day Events in Brampton on November 11
The City of Brampton will hold two main events to commemorate Remembrance Day on November 11: a parade and a remembrance ceremony at city hall.
Schedule of Events
- Sunrise Service at 7:55 a.m. at Meadowvale Cemetery Church (7732 Mavis Rd.)
- Remembrance Ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m. at Ken Whillans Square, in front of city hall (2 Wellington St. W.), by the Brampton Cenotaph
Acknowledgment of Other Veteran Days
The city also recognizes Black Veterans Day on November 7 and Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8.
Business and City Services on November 11
- Closed: Canada Post offices, passport services, Service Canada locations, most banks, city hall, and some city facilities
- Open with modified hours: Beer Stores and LCBO locations will open at noon
- Public transit: Brampton Transit operates on a regular weekday schedule
Special Transit Benefits for Veterans
Veterans presenting medals, berets, uniforms, blazers, War Veteran Passes, or service papers may ride Brampton Transit free all day.
Other City Services
All Brampton parks and recreation centres will remain open during regular hours, while all Brampton Library branches will be closed.
