Glenn Close revealed that she took a Valium before auditioning for her iconic role in the 1987 psychological thriller Fatal Attraction. The 78-year-old actress, known for her diverse roles in films like 101 Dalmatians, Hillbilly Elegy, and Dangerous Liaisons, described the audition as a nerve-wracking experience.
Speaking on an episode of The Kardashians, Glenn shared details about how she got cast in Fatal Attraction. She recalled that while performing in a Broadway play, she had to let her understudy take over so she could fly to Los Angeles for the audition.
“My hair was long and wild and crazy,” she said. “And I said, ‘What am I going to do with my hair?’ Then I finally said, ‘Oh f**k it, I’m just gonna go like that.’”
“I was so nervous I took a Valium.”
Glenn admitted she wasn’t familiar with Valium and felt the drug might have affected her more strongly than expected.
“I don’t take Valiums, so the fact that I took a Valium meant it was serious,”
she explained to her All Stars co-stars, including Kim Kardashian.
