ING announced that Andrea Diamanti will become Chief Executive Officer of ING Italy starting 1 January 2026. He will take over from Michal Szczurek, who has led the Italian branch since January 2023 and contributed significantly to its renewed growth strategy and the expansion of its universal banking model.
After completing his leadership at ING Italy, Michal Szczurek will continue serving as Vice-Chairman of the ING Poland Supervisory Board.
Andrea Diamanti joined ING Italy in 2023 as Head of Wholesale Banking. In his new position as CEO, he will oversee both retail and wholesale operations in Italy and report directly to Pinar Abay, Global Head of Retail Banking and a member of the Management Board Banking of ING Group.

Andrea Diamanti will lead ING Italy from 2026, continuing the bank’s digital and business growth efforts started by Michal Szczurek.
