Heat's Bam Adebayo shares concerning claim on injury after loss to Nuggets

Heat’s Bam Adebayo Updates Foot Injury After Loss to Nuggets

Miami Heat forward Bam Adebayo suffered a foot injury during the team’s 122-112 loss to the Denver Nuggets. He left the game early in the first quarter with 3:48 remaining after injuring his foot during a transition play. Adebayo finished with two points and one rebound on 1-of-5 shooting in eight minutes.

After the game, the 28-year-old shared an update:

“I felt a pain in my foot so I took it upon myself to check myself out and go see what happened… We’ll get more tests tomorrow and see how it goes.”

Impact on Miami’s Frontcourt

Without Adebayo, Miami’s limited frontcourt depth was exposed. Kel’el Ware was the only effective center available, while Keshad Johnson and Nikola Jovic contributed minimally. Precious Achiuwa, previously a rotation player, is now with the Sacramento Kings, and Vlad Goldin remains in the G League.

Nuggets’ Dominance in the Game

Deprived of Adebayo, the Heat struggled to match Denver’s size advantage. Nikola Jokic starred with a 33-point, 15-rebound, 16-assist triple-double in 37 minutes, shooting efficiently from the field. The Nuggets outrebounded Miami 61-38, including 21 offensive rebounds, which led to 22 second-chance points. The Heat managed only 44 points in the paint.
