South Devon MP Caroline Voaden continues to push for a banking hub in Totnes, questioning a Treasury Minister in Parliament on Tuesday, 4 November.
She asked if new regulations are needed to help rural areas retain face-to-face banking services, noting that while the Financial Conduct Authority protects access to cash, no government body oversees access to these services.
Ms Voaden also mentioned that Lloyds Banking Group will prevent customers from cashing cheques at Post Offices from January next year.
She called on the Prime Minister to back her campaign.
