Breakthrough in Heterocycle Production
Researchers from Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) and St. Petersburg State University have developed a method to simplify the synthesis of imidazoles heterocycles, reducing costs and utilizing oxygen from the air as a key reagent.
Imidazoles are a crucial component in creating various medicinal substances and materials, including antiparasitic, antifungal, antibacterial, antitumor drugs, and medications for high blood pressure.
